Ex-senatorial candidate jailed 10 years for selling petrol to Boko Haram A 2015 senatorial candidate in Borno State, Babagana Habeeb, has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by the Abuja Federal High Court for selling petrol to Boko Haram terrorists. The politician was convicted on Friday by Justice Peter Lifu on a one count charge of aiding and abetting terrorism in the country brought against him by the Federal Government. Habeeb, a fuel dealer in Maiduguri, capital of Borno State, had upon his arraignment on the one count charge admitted guilt of selling fuel to the terrorists. He however claimed that his fuel station attendants may have been responsible for the sales. Another suit seeking David Mark, Aregbesola’s sack as ADC leaders for judgment April 13 Justice Musa Suleiman Liman of the Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed April 13 for judgment in a suit filed by a House of Representatives member, Leke Abejide, seeking an order restraining Senator David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola from parading themselves as African Democratic Congress (ADC)’s Chairman and Secretary respectively. The Judge fixed the date on Friday after Abejide’s counsel, Ibrahim Idris, SAN, and lawyers to the defence adopted their processes and presented their arguments for and against the suit. The incident occurred at about 09:10 hours at Ajegunle Street, off Sabo-Line in the Isale area of Ilorin.   Court jails Boko Haram ‘victim’ after 10 years in detention   Justice Peter Odo Lifu of the Abuja Federal High Court has sentenced a Boko Haram terrorist victim, Ali Kolo, to nine years imprisonment after more than ten years in the detention. Kolo, who was shot in the right leg by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State, was on Thursday found guilty of failure to report activities of the dreaded group to security agents.   Transfer: Lazio name asking price for Dele-Bashiru Lazio are open to selling midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the summer, Dasleeknews reports. According to Italian publication, Tuttomercato, Lazio want between €15m and €18m for the Nigeria international. Dele-Bashiru was linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimipco in January.
